Origins: Brighter By Nature SPF35 Skin Tone Correcting Serum

I love this moisturizer! I have never used a moisturizer that leaves my skin feeling  smooth without any heaviness or oily residue. It has also helped clear up my acne scars around the cheeks and forehead which is fantastic!

The first thing I noticed about the product was its fragrance. It is a very light, clean, smell, not overwhelming like some perfumes.  I apply about 4 dots (one on my forehead, on each cheek and my chin) and it is enough to cover my face. I love the fact that it leaves my skin feeling moisturized without being oily. Now, I know this lotion is meant to be used during the day. However, I loved it so much, I have been using it at night as well.

*The line also offers a night-time lotion which I intend to purchase in the future*

Now, back to the review. I honestly thought I would run out a lot sooner! Three and a half moths of use and I still have about half the container left!

All in all, I think these products are amazing, super effective and have given me fantastic results. I encourage you to try them out for yourselves and see what I mean.
I am going back soon to by other products in the line, and will most definitely buy these two once they run out.

Origins: Checks and Balances Frothy Face Wash

The first product I decided to try was the Checks and Balances Frothy Face Wash. As soon as I got home I couldn’t wait to wash my face! This product is very light and leaves your face feeling fresh and clean without drying it. Also, you only need to use a bit of the product. I use a pea-sized amount and it is enough to cleanse my whole face.

I loved how it felt on my skin when I tried it at the store, however, before making a review I wanted to use it for a while. I wanted make sure its fabulous cleansing effect lasted more than two weeks. After three and a half months of using it, I am still in love! No product has ever lasted me so long and consistently given me such great results.

Also, you get a lot of product for the price. I bought the 5 oz (150 ml) bottle which might seem a little steep, but I have used just a bit twice a day for three and a half months, and I still have a lot left. You can also buy the 1.7 oz (50 ml) bottle for $11.00 if you want to try it out.

Origins: About The Brand

Origins products are made with organic essential oils and without any harmful ingredients like parabens, propylene glycol, mineral oil, DEA or animal ingredents. On the company’s site you can find information on how the company got started, the ingredients they use in their products and how they help the enviroment. One thing I found interesting while looking for information on the company was that the two trees on their logo actually represent the differing ideas they stand for. They try to combine the power of nature and the proof of science, and in my opinion, they succeed!

I have been using a face wash and moisturizer from this product line for 3 and a half months and i must say that I am very impressed! I have combination skin which is mostly oily around the chin, nose and forehead. This means that I also get a lot of acne in these specific areas.

However, every single product I tried in the past either over-dried my skin, left it feeling like butter, or only worked for a short period of time (then, my skin would just go back to the way it was).

                                                         How I “discovered” Origins

I first found out about Origins while walking through Macy’s. I had never seen or heard about this brand before so I let my curiosity lead the way. The sales representative showed me the different products that were available. She also recommended some that worked for my specific skin type and would help with my acne. Then, after the consultation, I got a free facial! YAY!

The woman used the products she had recommended, which was great because I was able to test the products out before purchasing them. I was so impressed with how my skin felt that I decided to buy some of the products. (Reviews will be up very shortly)

I recommend that if you have an origins store or booth nearby, that you definitely check them out. You won’t regret it!
