Affordable Fix of the Day: Mirta de Perales Hair Dressing Cream

        Mirta de perales is a brand that has been around for many many years My grandmother always used products from this line and I have always heard of them. Although it has always been present in my life I’ve never really used any of their products other than the oil treatment (which is fantastic btw). So I have decided to try and write reviews for 4 hair products from this line. Today I will start with the Hair Dressing Cream with vitamin E for extremely dry hair.

 First off, this product is SUPER affordable, it only cost me 5 dollars at walgreens. The first time I used the Hair Cream i didn’t feel such a big difference in texture, but after using the product a couple of times I really liked it. My hair felt soft without feeling heavy or oily.

    Now, you can use this product on wet or dry hair, which means that it can also be used as a styling product. However I noticed that when it comes to styling my hair it fell short. My styles would not hold and if I touched my hair it would create unwanted volume. But I just had to remind myself that its original purpose is not for styling, just conditioning.

 SO for being a very good leave-in, affordable, and doing what its meant to do (keep your hair soft) I give it 4 stars.

*Tip*
    I like to use this in combination with  Miss Jessie’s Curly Pudding. You could say the flaws in one product are fixed by the other. The Hair Dressing Cream keeps my hair soft while the Curly Pudding helps hold the style in place.

Hair Mayonnaise

 Two weeks ago I bought the Organic Root Stimulator Hair Mayonnaise it is a deep conditioner that contains:

*Safflower Oil
* Olive Oil
*Egg Powder
*Vitamin B5
*Collagen
Among other ingredients.

  I just have to say that out of all the deep conditioners I have used, this is definitely in the top 5, MAYBE even top 2.  Yes, it is honestly that good. I used it twice a week for two weeks straight and I just LOVE IT. It leaves my hair soft, shiny and while rinsing it out my hair feels like silk.

 Now, when it comes to the smell, it doesn't smell bad, but if you are looking for a very flowery or fruity smelling deep conditioner then this is not for you. HOWEVER if you are looking for an affordable deep conditioner that will bring shine, moisture and strength to your hair, then this is perfect.

Directions: You can leave it on your hair while in the shower for about 15 minutes while you shave, put on soap, etc. Or apply it and then put on a plastic cap for 15- 30 min. You can also sit under a
hooded dryer or ( if it's warm out) sit outside for 15- 30 min. the heat opens up the hair shaft allowing the product to do it's job a lot more efficiently.

** TIP**: If a product says it is a deep conditioner but tells you leave the it on for five minutes or less, it's probably not very good. Try getting a deep conditioner that recommends leaving it on for 15- 30 min. or even mentions a plastic cap somewhere.
